Developer:
As
a leading global investment banking and securities firm, our customer offers
product innovation, top-quality research, advice and execution through the
following Business Areas: Corporate Finance, Fixed Income, Equities,
Interest Rates and Foreign Exchange
Aufgabe:
The
successful candidate will join a team of highly motivated people in the IT
PB (Prime Brokerage) department within the bank. The team designs,
delivers and maintains functionalities for the Securities Lending
business. The role is focused on development of server side java
applications.
The
major focus of the role will be:
- Build
reliable and extensible systems for current and future production
requirements
- Deal
with business sponsors to gather their requirements to define
functionality
- Using
bank and IT PB internal development standards
- Follow
best practice (documentation, testing strategies etc)
- Liaising
with business analysts as well as QA's for requirements and testing
- Develop
effective lines of communication with the global development &
support teams, the business and other IT groups
Anforderungen:
- Higher
degree of education in Computer Science, Mathematics Engineering or
something of a similar nature
- At
least 3 years experience in object oriented software development
- Minimum
of 5 years experience in software development (analysis, development,
testing, documentation)
- Excellent
language in Java and best practice methods
- Strong
SQL knowledge (Sybase and/or Oracle), Unix and Solaris
- Experience
in working for financial services sector beneficial (preferable in in
a Investment banking environment)
- Knowledge
of Perl, Clearcase, Micromuse, Autosys beneficial
- Excellent
communication skills are required to liaise with team members,
business management and other stakeholders
- Fluent
in English; German would be beneficial
